episode description

We are talking with Chris and Brittany — husband and wife creative duo behind the company Do Good. Be Kind. Not only do they sell cute, comfy apparel with the reminder to do good and be kind, but their company’s entire mission is to make a difference. We talk all about their story in the podcast from how the company started along with all the ways we can do a little more to do good and be kind.

show notes

Do Good. Be Kind started with shirts and apparel, but it has grown to be an entire movement including a school program.

Find Do Good. Be Kind apparel here.

Learn more about the Do Good. Be Kind school program here.

“If we graduate a generation of children who can read and write and know math and science, but do not know how to be kind to one another, we will have failed.” - Angela Kriesler

Four pillars of Do Good. Be Kind:

  1. Be accountable and do good.

  2. Be kind to yourself.

  3. Be kind to others.

  4. Be kind to the world around you.

“You are good. You are worthwhile. You can make a difference.”

Actionable items we can do to make a difference:

  • DO. Don’t wait for a moment or a situation. Just DO!

  • Pull out a sheet of paper (from your Do Good. Be Kind Simple Notebook available here ;) ) and make a list of what you can take away or add to your life so you can do things that will be best for you.

  • Ask your family / kids each day if they had a Do Good. Be Kind moment that day or if someone had a Do Good. Be Kind moment towards them and how did it make them feel?

“Being kind to others doesn’t need to be some massive event.”

Chris’ invitation to everyone:

Look in the mirror. Look at yourself and, while smiling, give yourself these five affirmations:

  1. I am smart.

  2. I am brave.

  3. I am kind.

  4. I am grateful.

  5. I am loved.

And Becky H. added “I am love.”

Do Good. Be Kind: It’s more than just words. It’s a way of life and a movement, and it works as evidenced through real life stories that Chris and Brittany share with us on this episode.
