project life app celebration

Late Wednesday night, the Project Life® app went live. You guys, thank you so much for your enthusiasm and support. We have been overwhelmed in the most wonderful way by your comments, praises, expressions of gratitude … and right now there are nearly 200 written reviews in the App Store alone! Thank you for taking the time to share what you love about the app and how this is a game changer for you personally. Shortly after the launch, we found that the app was sitting in the #4 spot of everything in the App Store. We were blown away and continue to feel so grateful for the awesome response.

Even though the launch date was completely out of our hands (it was up to Apple and the review process that happens on their end), we still wanted to figure out how to throw a launch party. So … we sent the party to some friends! Here’s what was inside the app party boxes …

This is a portable charger with our branding on it. I have a feeling some of you will have a chance to get one of these next month during our birthday celebration.  : )

And those would be custom cookies made by our friends at Lemon Bliss Bakery here in Arizona. So fun.

Perhaps you’ve seen a glimpse or two of these party boxes on social media if someone you happen to follow received one. We are so thankful to our friends and colleagues for sharing the news and celebrating with us. I’ll be sharing a few on my own social media (facebook, twitter, instagram), so watch for those fun pictures to come. And I can’t tell you enough — we are truly so grateful to YOU, our customers, who are also spreading the word about the Project Life app. It completely thrills me to know that this app is everything you hoped for and more. The few concerns that we heard about are already being addressed in the next update(s), so keep in mind that with each update there will be even more improvements, even more available collections, even more awesomeness right at your fingertips.

A few more notes regarding the app:

  1. Please keep in mind that the best way to get a response to any questions you may have is to email ProjectLifeApp@BeckyHiggins.com. We are indeed happy to help!
  2. Haven’t yet downloaded it but want to be inspired by seeing pages that people are whipping up with the app? Search #ProjectLifeApp on Instagram.
  3. We’ve addressed this over & over, but totally realize there are a LOT of new friends so in case you missed it … YES, this app is also being developed for Android. It just takes a lot longer, so that launch happens later.
  4. We have answered many other questions in this post and in this one, in case you’re interested in learning more.

The app is awesome. You guys did a great job with it. I love that I can design pages while I’m waiting in the doctor’s office for my appt. Now I don’t even mind waiting.

App looks wonderful but now that Apple has taken the camera roll away won’t be able to assess older photos for us that are behind! Not your fault, but lots of people not happy with Apple on this one.

Carolyn-just pick the pics you want and move them into an album. (In photos, choose select in upper right, pick photos, then select Add to on the upper left). Easy work around, and they’ll show up in the PL app. I have done this for my older pictures, helped me organize what I wanted to scrap. Actually works better this way, less to go through (I’d otherwise be sorting through 2000+ pictures).

I love the app so much. I just wish I could label the finished pages for easier organization.

I had a quick sneak on my mums iphone 4.. so exciting. I am a Samsung (android) user… looking forward to it on Android.. I will be patient I promise. Thank you Becky for developing it xxx

I hardly have the words for how much your app has helped me scrap in just the last few days. Not only did you make it portable and fun, you made me feel like I can catch up (and have I ever!). You also solved a huge issue I had-dealing with pictures. Now I can just pop them on a page, see how the fit, easily changing layouts if I need to, add journaling (with spell check!) and done. Amazing, simply amazing. Cannot wait to get my order in with Persnicketyprints and (finally) get these pages into books. Going to use my existing project life pages for ephemera. :) genius really, nothing short of genius. And I honestly thought this app (suspected it would be digital) couldn’t help me. Boy was I wrong, and I’m ever so grateful for it!

Waiting for the app for Android phones :) I’m so jealous of all the iPhone users now.

  9. I am waiting to get my new phone before I purchase your brand new Project Life App. I love the portable charger with your branding on it. I am certain that I would be able to find a spot for it in my home.. :) Congratulations to you Becky and to your team.

Squee! I have been waiting for this for YEARS (okay, just 2 years, but still…) SOOOOO exited to be able to my journaling & layouts on the fly!!

  12. Tricia says:

I downloaded this app on the release date and have not stopped playing with it yet.. I have purchased quite a few of the premade kits and layouts and am eager for more to come.. Hoping to see a Fall/Halloween collection as it is my favorite time of year to document and photograph!

I want to say thank you for this app. I haven’t really scrapped in two years because I was in nursing school. I was a married woman with three teenagers and I could not find the time. It was hard enough getting class work completed.

Recently I switched to an android phone but mournedy Phone. When I saw you app I knew I had to get it back. Your new app was the first one I downloaded. I scrapped my first page in minutes. I felt so accomplished. I sent the print off to the website you suggested and I got it today. It looks awesome. Now I can scrapbook on my lunch break as a new nurse! This app will enable me to get creative side going again! If you ever do a full computer version, I would buy a Mac! I’m spreading the word about your app and the quality pages anyone can create. Thank you!

  14. Jean Kinney says:

I love this! I had my doubts, but downloaded it tonight and have done 4 pages. My question: I have it on iPad and iPhone. Most of my pictures are on the iPhone, but I prefer “composing” in the iPad as it is bigger. (I have just the little iPhone 4, and can’t upgrade to a bigger phone until next October.) Is there any way to have the layouts I make on the iPhone also in my library on the iPad? would uploading them to the iCloud do it? I also plan to buy most, if not all, of the extra kits, and probably any and all that are added, and will these also be available on both devices? Thanks for any help you fellow PLers can give me.

  15. Mrs Vox says:

Awesome! I can’t wait for the android app to become available!

  16. Tamara says:

I’m in love and hope to use it on my ipad one day…..to do the design and layout work.

I’ve taken the app into Kindergarten and it’s a whole new world. I’ve just emailed you too!

  17. Lisa C. says:

Hope to see an Android version soon! :-)

  18. Karen Hutchinson says:

I hope it will be available for windows phone

  19. Betsy says:

Hello! I am excited about the new Project Life app and am looking forward to creating books to be printed. I believe it was said you could export to 8×8 or 1212. If so, I would like to make the suggestion that they could also be exported in the 10×10 size. I have created Project Life books in the 8.5×11 size printed from Shutterfly and your former printer for four years, but that size would be too much to ask for in conjunction with the Project Life app!

    Thanks for everything!

  20. Your company is very impressive .
