inspiration from our digital creative team – april 2015

Every month our awesome Project Life® App Creative Team and Digital Project Life Creative Team blow me away with their layouts. This month is no exception. I love seeing how these ladies use pictures and Project Life supplies to make their stories come alive. Not only am I inspired by the way they use the products, but I am also inspired by the stories they tell, the pictures they capture, and the bits of their life they infuse into their pages. There have been many times where it has sparked a memory or a story that I have yet to tell in our family’s Project Life album. I am willing to bet that they will inspire you, too.

Grab a snack, a drink, and maybe a notebook to jot down a few ideas and dive in! (Note: you can click on the layouts to see a bigger version of the layout.)

in Lindsay Ross’ design, on the right hand side, there is a picture that expands over 3 individual “pockets”. How can you do that on the app? Do you need to insert 3 times the same picture and then move it around?

    • Mendi M says:

I’m no expert by any means, but what I’ve done to accomplish that look is to put the same picture in the three different spots and adjust the size of each picture to make it look like they were one big picture. That is really hard to explain in words! I wish I could show you!

You can use image slicer for such pictures.

Thanks for the tip on image slicer! I already tried this. Awesome!!!

    • Jed says:

Could someone please explain what image slicer is? Thanks!

    • Andrea says:

Cool idea. Which image slicer did you use?

In the app, when you use a journaling card that has different lines ie: Name, place, date, then space to journal, how do you get the cursor up to the name line, etc. I have only been able to do journaling but not able to move the cursor to the other sections of the box. Thanks for your help.

    • Martha says:

Michelle, try typing everything and adjusting using the line spacing feature in the app and then moving using the vertical offset feature. Hopefully that helps.

    Thanks for all the inspiration!!!

Becky once mentioned taking pictures of old family photos to use in the app – does anyone remember that post? I’d like to start a heritage album, and have tons of photos but have no idea how to start and am I taking the pictures with my phone vs. camera?

As for Dropbox, when you go in to pull your photos from Dropbox are your thumbnails really small or is it just how mine show up?

    Thanks for any advice!

Will the Let’s Get Away kit ever be available in the app? I loooove it! :)
