I was born + raised in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area with my 6 sisters and 1 brother. After graduating high school in 1997, I spent the next 17 years living in other parts of the country finishing school and supporting my husband while he established his career as an attorney. My husband, who is also from Minnesota, and I were so happy to move back to the twin cities in 2014. I am a Midwest girl through and through and am happy to stay at home to support my family as they work and grow!
My family now consists of my wonderful husband, three boys Isaac (16), Luke (13), and Jasper (7) and one sweet little baby girl named Frances (born July 2017). We also love our large extended family and are happy to live close to both sets of parents, several siblings, and nieces and nephews.
The way I use Project Life has been to record our ongoing craziness as a family and, with the ease of the app, do it basically in the moment, usually in bed! I have been using the app since it was available in 2014. I have made over 1500 pages for my immediate and extended family since then. I love taking pictures! Project Life is the quickest way for me to link those photos to their story in a simple yet creative way before the details are forgotten.
To me, documenting life is a way to slow it down just a little bit! It helps me hold on to those little moments, the fun and the difficult, that are fleeting yet essential to my story. It is also my way of cultivating stronger relationships with those I love and the world around me.
Three things on my bucket list are:
1. Donate decorated Christmas trees for children’s hospitals at the holidays
2. Tour the locations where the Jane Austen movies were filmed.
3. Retake piano lessons and actually practice this time!
Cultivating a good life means learning of your strengths and then finding out how to utilize them to best serve and love those around you.
