Jennifer L. Wambach

At age four Jennifer L. Wambach decided she wanted to be an artist when she grew up. She was born in a small western New York town, also the birthplace of Jell-O, and grew up in a ‘50s ranch house full of art, fabric, books and music. Grateful to have had supportive parents, she she showed her appreciation by creating masterpieces like a permanent marker family portrait on the basement floor. Jennifer has a BFA in fine art and lives in the Chicago area with her husband and three prolifically messy, spirited and wonderful kids.

As an artist, illustrator and designer, she’s been featured on Print & Pattern, Riley Blake, Moon From My Attic, Make it in Design and Lilla Rogers Studio blogs, and her work has appeared in Somerset Studio magazine and books, The Spoonflower Handbook, and Toile: The Storied Fabrics of Europe and America. Her digital die cut designs are licensed to Silhouette America and DigiPlayground, she’s a published children’s book illustrator, and she was once commissioned to decorate a larger than life size 3D fiberglass bulldog which she painted in her family room… right after her son had just learned to crawl.

When she’s not drawing, painting or gluing little bits of paper into her sketchbook, you can find her hanging out in the backyard with her family, reading, playing the fiddle and trying to figure out chords on the guitar, researching family history and sorting through about 10,000 photos, or walking the family’s energetic and squirrel obsessed beagle.
