#BHFavorites: a sampling of our team’s favorite things
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know that I love to share some of our team’s favorite things! We decided to compile some of our most popular favorite things from those posts, right here on the blog! Scroll through and hopefully you will find something you might love as much as we do!
Toni and Wendy both have a favorite lotion that they keep handy and it’s this one. “We both agree that it’s silky smooth without being sticky or greasy. You can find it at Ulta and other beauty supply stores.” Apparently this one is paraben free, gluten free, and 100% vegan… which is great for those who find these to be important characteristics in a lotion.
Wendy is pretty much obsessed with her robe. “It feels like I’m still in my bed wrapped in the softest, most comfortable sheets I have ever owned. The fabric is like butter. We discovered the sheets a few years ago at a Jennifer Adams roadshow at our local Costco. They’re the only sheets I want on my bed. So the day I saw Jennifer Adams had a robe, I knew I had to have it. After a long day of work and carpooling, those sheets are calling my name. Of course I can’t hang out in bed all day, but thanks to my robe, I can now enjoy this luxury a little longer.”
In Molly’s own words: “I have tried every dry shampoo on the market – at least it seems that way. Nothing was working in my hair. I was always so jealous of the people who didn’t have to wash their hair every day! Then I found Batiste Dry Shampoo. This is the real deal! It even works in my hair! Plus, they have several different scents. The Tropical and the Cool and Clean Fresh are my favorites. There is even one specifically made for brunettes and one for blond hair. I’ve purchased this at Target and Marshalls for $5.99, but I know it can also be found on Amazon; it’s just a bit more expensive.”
I saw this on a mannequin in the lululemon store just last month and knew it belonged in my life. The way it’s designed is NOT your typical scarf. The whole thing un-zips (and some designs un-snap), resulting in all sorts of creative versatility! In fact, there’s a quick video tutorial on YouTube called “How to Master Your Vinyasa Scarf (10 ways)” and while I’ll only do a few of those… it’s pretty cool. There are several pattern and color options for the Vinyasa Scarf… but hello! Black & white stripes forever and always.
Kari found these Simple Bites at her local Costco while stocking up on healthier snack options and fell in love! “They are made from seeds, nuts, and dried fruit and are the perfect bit of sweetness when I need a small treat and I’m having a good day steering clear of chocolate.”
Friends: All nail clippers are NOT created equally. We actually happened upon these in a little shop in Amish country in Pennsylvania, of all places, and David fell in love. He was so sick of cheap clippers. This Seki brand is legit and you can feel it with the first clip. We are officially nail clipper snobs now. You can find these on Amazon and probably many other retailers.
Kari is a huge fan of her Yeti cup. Gotta stay hydrated, friends – even if it’s chilly outside. She shares: “I’m an ice water drinker and have been through many insulated cups in my search for one that would keep my drink cold all day. The Yeti tumbler does just that! Not only does it keep water cold, but the ice actually remains in my cup all day … even when I leave it in my car in the Arizona heat or on my nightstand overnight. I have also found that the Bubba Big Straws are a perfect fit for this tumbler because they are soft and bend to fit through the drinking space on the lid (which is narrow) while still giving me a nice big stream of liquid refreshment!”
Molly loves this spatula and uses it almost every time she bakes. “It is perfect for scraping around the entire inside of a bowl to get every drop of batter out! I love it for getting to the bottom and edges of peanut butter or mayonnaise containers. You can’t beat the price either, at less than $5… which is even less with a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby.
This is a staple in our home and has been for quite some time. Our feet get so dry sometimes that there are cracks. Know what I’m talking about? Yeah. This stuff WORKS. We like to rub it in right before bed, let it do magic tricks while we sleep, and after 2-3 days in a row… problem solved. We pick it up on Amazon. Not sure which retailers carry it.
Thank you Costco.
Kara swears by this stuff! This is what she has to say about this $3 unit of awesome: “Just like everyone else in the winter time, my lips get dry and chapped even with carrying Chapstick with me everywhere. You put this on like regular lipstick, but it gently exfoliates all of that dry and chapped skin. When I am done applying, I just remove with a wet washcloth and apply my lipstick or gloss of choice for the day. I find myself using it every or every other morning when I am doing my makeup for the day. LOVE it … and so does the hubs!”
The moment I tried these on, I could tell that they would not need to be broken in to be comfortable – they’re awesome. Bought them at Nordstrom.
Toni LOVES this big bag of deliciousness and says, “I was thrilled to find this Zebra Popcorn in its own big bag at Costco! I don’t even eat regular popcorn, but this? Yeah, I’ll eat this. Perfect for when I’m craving a little sweetness.”
Hands down my favorite chocolate right now. And apparently I felt the need to have a year supply on hand at the office. Don’t judge.
In his own words… “Well, it’s unlimited photo storage and absolutely free. In fact, if you have a gmail account, you ALREADY have a Google Photos account set up! It also has some incredibly advanced recognition software. Lots of photo apps can search for people or places (even though I think Google Photos does it best). What really stunned me was when I started searching for pictures of things like “weddings” or “hiking” or “selfies.” SOMEHOW those search options (and so many others) are available. WHAT?! It even automatically generates movies, slideshows, and collages, complete with stock music!”
Accidentally came across these lounge pants at Walmart recently. Between the ultra-soft and thin fabric (great for our warmer Arizona temperatures) and the $12.88 price tag … well, I’d consider this a score. They’re below-the-knee length and pretty cute. Basically, I could could wear them all day. I even picked some up for “just because” gifts for a few of my mom friends who totally deserve some comfort at the end of busy days. 💛 // Brand is No Boundaries and they’re in the Juniors department.
Kari is sharing one of her favorite new things and I may just be picking this up myself! “I’m a snacker by nature, so planning ahead is key for me when I’m trying to keep my eating in check. One thing I’ve found that works great is the Go Stak containers from Blender Bottle. They come in a variety of sizes and fit anything from protein or drink mix powders to nuts, hard-boiled eggs, Veggie Straws (as seen here), and more. The containers lock together with a simple twist and I can throw the whole thing in my purse or bag when I’m headed out the door. The hard containers protect snacks from being smashed and the smaller sized containers keep me from eating more than I should. I purchased mine on Amazon and got the Starter Pack which has one each of 4 sizes of containers along with the carry handle.”
