Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

Jan

2nd

project real life starts in one week!

Pictured above: Looking at one of of the 12 layouts I created during the class last year. In PRL, the focus is heavily on cultivating a good life, but we also do a little scrapbooking – one week per layout, based on the theme of that week.

Back in October I announced that my Project Real Life class is making a return to Big Picture Classes. I can hardly believe that class is starting exactly one week from today! Registration will remain open until January 16th, so don’t miss your chance to join me, Brandi, and Kari (my 2 Project Life Coaches) as I share with you 12 weeks of material that focuses on my tagline – Cultivate a Good Life and Record It.

We’ll discuss “real life” ups + downs and how to make the most of our everyday experiences. We’ll also talk about relationships, organizing, routines, traditions, and several other topics – all with the focus on how these help us cultivate the good life we are striving for. With new content added to the classroom each week along with a classroom message board and gallery, there will be lots of opportunities for us to share and learn from each other. There will also be videos, slide shows, 3 live chats, and more during our 12 weeks together.

Of course we’ll be talking about how to document using Project Life®, as well. In fact, the first 500 students to register will receive a set of Project Life cards designed to go along with the 12 weekly topics that we will be discussing. All students will be able to download and print these cards from within the classroom, but the first 500 students will have the cards printed and shipped to them FREE!

exclusive themed cards

Another exciting perk for students is the opportunity to purchase a new set of themed cards – Life Lists. These were designed by Tiffani Smith and include 60 cards (48 – 3×4 cards and 12 – 4×6 cards) filled with prompts for creating lists that will tell all about you {or whoever you have fill them out}! There will be a limited quantity printed and available for purchase in February to those who are registered for this session of Project Real Life.

If you saw my creativeLIVE course and you’re wondering how Project Real Life is different, that’s all outlined in my Oct. 23 post. I’m really excited that many of you are already signed up. See you in class!

I cannot wait for class to start next week! AND these additional cards are great! Thanks for the opportunity!

  2. Nicole says:

I took the class last time & loved it, I really wish these cards were available to alumni since the class is basically the same material as last time & I cannot justify spending the money on the class again just to get these extra cards

  3. Brenda says:

I second what Nicole is saying but cant justify paying so much money again just to get the cards. But would absolutely love to get thecards somehow!

  4. Lisa B says:

I can hardly wait for your class to begin! Love PL. Thanks for the additional cards, too. : )

  5. Jules says:

I loved the PRL class last time, and I hope all those taking it this time round get just as much out of it. Like Nicole and others, I think it would be fab if the cards, or at least a subset of them, were available to alumni as well…

  6. I REALLY would have loved to take this class once again but w/a newborn preemie it’s not in the budget. But those of you who are going to take it enjoy. It really was an amazing experience & made my love of doing project life that much more intense.

  7. Mary says:

Purchased my first Project Life core kit and this class for a Merry Christmas to me gift. Looking forward to starting the class and this project.

  8. Laurel says:

I’m in this session of Project Real Life. I really hope you offer these for sale as digital downloads as well. That would be wonderful!

  9. Kenna says:

Becky, will it be necessary to be present at a certain time for the Project Real Life class? I work during the day but would LOVE to take the course if at all possible.

    • brandi@beckyhiggins.com says:

All course content is at a “work at your own pace,” with the exception of the live chats. If you are unable to join in on the chats, you will still have access to the transcripts. So, yes, even if you work you will still be able to enjoy this class fully!

Is anyone having trouble logging onto BeckyHiggins.com? When I log into and try to read the blog it comes up with an error message and then I can’t get onto any part of it. I logged here from FB…Thanks so much.

I also took the class last time & loved it, but didn’t return this year due to the price point and same content. Love the cards, but won’t be purchasing the class just to get the chance to buy them.
However, I’m doing my own “spin” on PRL this year… I’m taking each of the 12 “weeks” and making them a focus for each “month” of 2014! This will allow me to spend more time on each topic, and dig a little deeper this go around! And I love that BPC keeps all the previous classes’ info archived.. I’m going back and reviewing Week 1: Begin with the End in Mind now.. and it’s a perfect way to kick of January!!

  12. Jenn McClure says:

I’m new to PL and am doing my own twist on it, using a sketchbook as my scrapbook and PL cards. I think it’s the best way for me to complete a scrapbook :) I wish I could afford this class and I wish I could get those list cards without having to sign up for the class. Maybe next time I can participate!

  13. Rhonda TOWIE says:

Query regarding the class I am new to project life and really keen but work and study are the classes available at our leisure to access ? Also from Australia does that affect ability to obtain the cards

  14. Jenny says:

I took the class last time, wanted to attend this time again but the alumni offer is only $10 off and with almost the same class content I see no reason in joining again. I would have love to join again because last time was a lot of fun but not for this price :/

  15. Erin Ollis says:

I have trapped inside because of snow storm… I have been project life-ing it up all day! Love how easy it is and how fast it goes by!

  16. Tina M says:

I can hardly wait for the class to begin! 2014 is going to be a great year!

  17. Angela Melrose says:

    Can’t wait to participate!

  18. Anne D says:

How do I know if I’m one of the 500???

    • Tina M says:

I got an email on Dec 27 saying they would ship on the 30th and to check my mailing address at. BPC to make sure it was correct.

  21. Luanna R says:

    Becky,
Is the 12 week course a “watch” at your leisure or you have to watch a certain times? How many days a week is this course? I read about it, but didn’t find these answers. Maybe I missed it somewhere.
    Thanks!

  22. Tina says:

Which core kits best coordinate with these exclusive class card sets?

  23. Robyn Poulton says:

Is there anyway you can let me know if all of the free PL cards for the first 500 have been sent? I only just signed up so I don’t think I will get one but I don’t want to start printing them out only to have others arrive in the mail.
    Thanks
    Robyn

  24. Michelle Sherrard says:

I would like to know how the class is “taken” I can’t find anywhere that it says if it’s “live” is it self-paced. It would help a lot so that I can plan out my time for this. Thanks in advance

  25. Georgia says:

Hi Becky. I am hoping to participate but am in Australia. Does that inhibit my participation? Are the comp cards still available and would you ship to ‘Down Under’?

  26. Jenn Garcia says:

Hi there! I believe I missed this class….is it too late to start? If so, when will the next class begin? Thanks so much! ~Jenn
