Australia
I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Sydney, Australia.
My family now consists of my husband Rick, our firstborn Cameron whom we lost at 41 weeks, our four year old Angus, our (almost) three year old Pete, our twenty month old Jamie and our (currently in utero) baby Edward whom we are expecting in April 2013. Yes, I have a family of boys - beautiful, delightful little boys. If Cameron had lived, he would be five years old. We love him, remember him and miss him every day.
The way I use Project Life is very simple and minimalist. I like to let the photos speak for themselves - I hardly use any embellishments and only add text when I think it is necessary. I document our family's life on a weekly basis, and I also keep a separate Project Life album for each of our boys, which are updated once a month.
To me, documenting life is part of life itself. It's part of who I am, and I strongly believe that every photo tells a story even when there are no words. Even though life often gets busy (and sometimes hectic), I always make time for memory keeping because it keeps me grounded and focused on what's important.
Three things on my bucket list are:
- To publish my manuscript, 'Life Without Cameron'
- To write down stories from my parents' childhood
- To grow a vegetable garden
Cultivating a good life means: staying organized, being thankful, getting to bed early (a constant work in progress), cherishing the people in my life, and serving the one true God.
