oh, baby ….

Becky Higgins Baby by Emily Ley

Many of you have been waiting for news on the “new arrivals” – and today we’re delighted to announce who designed these newly-designed BABY Editions of Project Life®! What a thrill for us to finally share the designer behind them, what the new designs look like, and when you’ll be able to find them in our shop and in retail locations throughout the world!

Who’s the designer?

When we were looking to update our Baby Editions, we knew we wanted the designs to be fresh, classic, clean + simple. All of those things perfectly describe the design style of Emily Ley – who also designed the well-loved Strawberry Edition. We learned that Emily was pregnant with twins around that same time we were looking to create these new editions and… hello, perfect fit! A huge congratulations to Emily and her family on recently welcoming Tyler and Caroline to their world in January.

What products are coming and what do they look like?

We’ve got a brand-new Baby Girl Edition and Baby Boy Edition on their way with all of the goodies you could ever want to document the stories of pregnancy, celebrations, delivery, and milestones of baby’s first year – Core Kits filled with prompt cards to help jog your memory, additional sets of Specialty Cards and 4×4 Cards, 6×6 Paper Pads, Chipboard Stickers, Photo Overlays, Embossing Folders, and darling ombre striped Designer Albums to hold all of the pages that tell the story of your little one.

As you glance through these pretty pictures, keep in mind that these products will be a wonderful complement to those baby pictures no matter when they were taken. Some of you have babies who are now all grown up, but you still want to put that baby album together. It’s never too late! And obviously this will make a fantastic gift for parents-to-be who want to keep a scrapbook of their new little one without wanting to be overwhelmed by a huge and time-consuming project. Project Life is designed to simplify the process.

When + where will these products become available?

We are expecting the new Baby Editions to arrive sometime in the May/June timeframe, and, of course, we’ll be sure to share on social media just as soon as they arrive – just like any good baby announcement. *wink*

They will be available in our online shop of course, and the baby products are also available for your local retailer to carry, so be sure to let your local scrapbook store or baby boutiques know that you’d love to see Project Life in their shops, too! These will come to the digital shop and to the app in the future, but no timeline on that just yet. We will announce when they are available in those formats.

Wonderfull job!!! I have 2 teenage boys and still need to do their baby albums. I love the colors, so bright but traditional. I can’t wait. Thanks for all your hard work.

  5. Paula O says:

  6. Rhonda Lamourie says:

I love these. Can’t wait for them to be in stores. Nephew and his wife are expecting a baby this month and just found out my GodDaughter (like the daughter I never had) is due in September and of course my baby boy (all grown up now) could use a baby album still. lol

  7. Mel says:

Oh my. Will these be available in Australia? Pls say yes

  8. Mariangeles says:

Beautiful collections but, now that I’m pregnat, I hate more than ever the pink/girl – blue/boy issue :( I want a cute collection for a baby regardless its gender :(

    • bdaiss says:

I came to say the same thing! Please, stop with the perpetuation of the “pink is for girls, blue is for boys” stereo type! Some (many?) of us would love a gender neutral kit.

  9. Jessica L says:

I’m expecting my first on July 1st and I’ve already decided that documenting my baby’s first year will be easiest Project Life style. I will be honest, I was hoping for a gender neutral kit. I’m waiting until the baby is born to find out if I have a little he or she. It would have been nice to buy a kit before the baby is born so that I can build my foundation pages while I have the time. Also, I’m not a blue/pink fan. I prefer mints, grays, and yellows.

  10. Cathy Weber says:

Ohh…get those App programmers working at mach soeed..I needed this on the app like yesterday! Please please hurry! The app has changed my scrapping life!

  11. Oh my! They are both beautiful. Now all I need is a new grandchild or a great- grandchild. :) Wishing you all a Happy & Blessed Easter.

    Mary from NH

  12. Annie says:

Would have really loved a gender neutral option. I won’t be using these.

  13. Jamie says:

I love, love, love these kits! I will be buying one for all 3 of my children! Just wanted to let you know that I do like the gender specific kits- but maybe you could do a neutral one, also? I have 2 daughters and would like to have different color options so their baby books are not identical. Thanks!

  14. LindaC says:

Oh I can’t wait. My daughter is expecting her first child – a boy (my first grandchild) at the end of May! Is name is going to be Oliver and I am so excited. The boy kit – colors and design – look perfect for the colors of his room. So excited this kit is coming at soon. I’ll be checking your blog often for the announcement. Happy Easter to you and your family!

  15. Teri says:

    Hi Becky,
Love the new baby products. Have you ever thought to put together a school themed project life that would match the original school traditional scrapbook kit that you had many years ago. It came with paper and the original 12 x 12 pocket folders that had the school years on it.

It would be a great addition to those of us that have the original school kit.
    Thanks,
    Teri

  16. Ronda Franke says:

When I do the pages using the app I tend to gravitate towards the Strawberry Edition so I think she was a great choice. I so love these new kits. My daughter is having a baby boy in July and I am definitely using this kit!

  17. Megan says:

OMG – I will be re-doing both my kids’ baby albums with these kits. They are beautiful. I had planned on doing a 12×12 album but they’re just too big for my taste. This size will be perfect. Can’t wait.

  18. Mandy says:

This is why I’ve been procrastinating so much with my kids baby albums. Just gorgeous.

  19. Oooh, these are great. I spy some pretty colors, designs, and fonts in both sets! I think the albums are my favorite part. Great job, Emily, and congratulations on those 2 beautiful blessings!

  20. Ok, so what shall i do in the meantime since I am due in less than 2 weeks! I hopped on here tonight to look at baby kits so I can keep up with the documenting, but now I’m not sure how to keep track of it till these editions become available in May! I can’t wait!!! Any suggestions on how to make sure I document everything that this kit will prompt me to record so that when i get the kit, I can just plug in what I’ve saved so far? :)

  21. Monja says:

What a fantastic collection! Totally love it and we will for sure sell it at our local store!

  22. Ashley s. says:

These are beautiful! I love the albums as well.

  23. They are gorgeous! Nice job, Emily!

  24. Therese says:

I absolutely love these new baby editions. I have the old ones but never completed my son’s album and only got about half way through my daughter’s. I will definitely need these kits to supplement the older ones.

I love Emily’s style and those twins are too cute :)

  25. Tammy says:

Will the ombré albums be available on your site in 12×12?

  26. I would like to say that your store is too much awesome and decoration is also fantastic. You can do very good work.

  27. Australian Mummy says:

Hi Becky – these new kits a beautiful! I actually have the old baby kit for my newborn some but haven’t started yet. I’m not considering waiting for this new kit.

I am wondering though, are there any plans to make an Aussie version of the kit? With Aussie spelling of Mum and Aussie holiday cards?

    Thanks,
    Bec.

    • Australian Mummy says:

correction – I am now considering waiting for the new kit for my newborn son!

  28. Rachel T says:

These are really cute! I would also really love to see a gender neutral option!!!

  29. LindaC says:

Can’t wait for the baby boy one. My daughter is expecting her first child, my first grandchild, May 29th. It’s a BOY and they are naming him OLIVER. I’m so excited and the Project Life products make it so easy to document special occasions. Have been working on my heritage one with the Heritage line. Just love it!

  30. Angela says:

Has anyone had any luck finding these at their Michael’s stores? I checked their online website but it’s not listed there.

  31. Kate says:

Cute, but I LOVED the neutral version of the previous design. And word yet on wether there will be a neutral of this one?

  32. Sarah says:

Is there an update on when these kits will be available?

  33. Karla says:

Where can I get the boy version journal cards?

  34. Amber says:

Really hoping these kits come out in the Project Life App soon. Ready to use for my little one arriving in May!
