in the spotlight – Erin Stewart
Erin, how long have you been using Project Life® to document? How do you use Project Life?
I started a Project Life album in 2012 to document weekly. I currently use Project Life weekly (Monday-Sunday) in my yearly album and monthly (by birthday) in the baby album. And I say currently because I am not committing myself to a particular format for my yearly Project Life. I am currently using the following core kits: Jade Edition, Coral Edition, and Baby Edition for Her. I also print some Digital Project Life cards. I use different page protectors: Design A, Big Variety Pack 1, Small Variety Packs 2 & 5, and Envelope Variety Pack. Other supplies include corner rounder and Becky Higgins journaling pens.
How often and where do you print your photos?
I use my DLSR to take most of my photos and I use my iPhone with a camera app. I order through Costco online as I have a large batch to print, usually once a week. In addition, I use my home printer as I need more photos or different sizes of photos for convenience. I have two printers: Epson Artisan and Canon Selphy. For printing photos, I use Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper for my photos and I use Epson Presentation Paper Matte to print Project Life digital cards.
How do you organize your photos and supplies?
I only print out the photos I intend to use in Project Life. My photos are organized on my computer with Lightroom. To organize all my scrapbooking and craft supplies, I use what I like to call a craft cabinet. Before I turned it into storage for my craft supplies, it was an entertainment center. I have a section dedicated for just my Project Life kits.
What are some of your tried and true tips for Project Life success?
I love the simplicity of Project Life! I could never scrapbook as many photos without this system. I enjoy the instant gratification of an album that is being completed as I go about filling pockets with photos and words for my family to enjoy our memories.
