Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

I’m going to ScrapFest!

Back in the day, I used to travel around to conventions, consumer shows, and other events like CKU (Creating Keepsakes University). I have met thousands of you in the classes I taught through the years, and I value those memories teaching – and learning from you!

I can’t remember precisely how long it’s been since I’ve taught a live class, but … it’s been probably 5 years or so. A long time.

Guess what? I’m returning to the classroom! A real, live, in-person classroom.

Guess what else? I would love to meet you. And I would be honored to have you in my class. I would love to chat with you face-to-face about Project Life … or whatever you want to chat with me about.

Here’s the scoop!

WHAT   |   ScrapFest is an event for scrapbookers (new or experienced or even wanna-be’s) who want to learn, shop, meet, and have fun!

WHEN  |   September 20-22, which is just over 7 weeks from right now. Not that anyone is counting.

WHERE  Mall of America. Yes, the Mall of America – in Bloomington, Minnesota. It’s only the nation’s largest retail and entertainment complex. That’s all. No big deal that they’re converting the whole mall into a giant scrapbooking party.

MY INVOLVEMENT  |  I will be here, there, and everywhere. You’ll find me at the Project Life® booth where we will be delighted to do a little make & take with you. It’ll be super complicated and require lots of advance skills – not. For real though, we will be hooking you up with free Project Life product – including exclusive cards you can only get at this event (since we designed them just for this special occasion).

When I’m not at our booth chatting with everyone that comes through, I’ll be in the classroom. I’ll also be involved in hosting the Friday night “Crop Around the Mall”, where we look forward to seeing what you’re working on. We can’t wait to hang out and get to know you. You’ll love the chance to get to know Kari and Brandi from our team. They’re the super fun dancing queens at the end of that video I recently shared on facebook, twitter, and instagram. Plus, they’ll give you the dirt on what I’m really like.  ; )

MY CLASS   |   So I’m teaching one class – 6 different times. You can learn all about the class HERE – and I’m told registration opens TODAY. Seats are likely to sell out pretty fast, so jump on this quick. All you need to bring to class is a stack of photos (up to 80; horizontal format is preferable) and we’re going to put together a Project Life Mini Album using the brand-new Cut & Paste Mini Kit (Amy Tangerine). You can see a sampling of those cards in this post. And here’s a peek at my own finished Mini Album.

So … if a little trip to the Mall of America sounds fun and you can pull it off, I would love to see you there. If you want to bring a friend who is putting off scrapbooking for various reasons, get her signed up in my class. I’d love to visit with her personally, and have a little chit-chat about how scrapbooking doesn’t have to be the overwhelming, time-consuming, complicated and messy hobby that sometimes it is made out to be.

And if you do love all the techniques, gadgets, and trendy trinkets? Oh, there will be plenty of that during ScrapFest too. I’m sure of it.   : )

  29. Very good blog you have here but I was curious about
if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics talked about here?
I’d really like to be a part of online community where I can get feedback from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Appreciate it!
