good life with holly pitcher
Part of cultivating a good life is knowing that time is precious.
After receiving some rather devastating news about my father, a friend gave me a quote that states, “Time is free, but it is priceless. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.”
Time is a precious commodity and when I really thought about this quote and what was happening with my dad, it opened my eyes to the reality of my everyday. I was spending obscene amounts of time worrying if everything was in place, having the perfect home, family, and business. I knew I needed to change. I couldn’t afford to waste the time with him that had been granted us or each other.
The decision to change came easy; the actual changing part didn’t. But now I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the most lasting gifts are those we give of ourselves—our time, our talents, our appreciation, and most importantly our love! Everyday I ask myself, “Am I spending my time as though I will never get it back? Am I rejoicing in the blessings that have been granted me?” As I have focused more on my family the last few months and trying to give more of myself to them, I can’t even explain the happiness and peace that has come into my life. It truly was life altering and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

First of all — happy birthday to sweet Holly from our whole team! When we first met Devin, our app developer, it really was a two-for-one because Holly is Devin’s wife and we absolutely adore her! She has even helped with some stuff behind-the-scenes. More importantly, she’s a gem of a woman with the best smile ever and she oozes kindness.
