PRODUCTS DESIGNED: Magic Memories
As an avid scrapbooker for almost 20 years and a graphic designer since 2005, you could say my two artistic touchstones were bound to intertwine at some point. I developed a particular love for surface & pattern design while in graduate school for graphic design — taking every screen printing, pattern and textile elective I could fit into my class schedule.
After graduating in 2009, I started my own digital scrapbook business, Scotty Girl Design. What started as a creative outlet away from my full-time corporate design job at Pottery Barn, has developed into a full-time business which has expanded to include commercial use products, online design courses, and my most recent endeavor, surface design & licensing. I couldn’t be more thankful to truly love what I do for a living and am so grateful to be part of the Project Life family.
Currently, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my game designer husband and our adorable rescue terrier, Paisley. You should know I have an obsession with Disney — due in part to my Imagineer grandfather — so you’ll often find me at a Disney park (although still not as often as I’d like). When I’m not designing, I love to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, pretend I can decorate, or travel abroad with my dSLR in tow.
Drop me a line if you’re ever in my neck of the woods – I love chatting with other creatives over coffee!
