I was born + raised in a little town near North Bay in Northern Ontario, Canada. We used to joke that if you blinked while driving through, you would miss it!
My family now consists of my husband Adrien (also my high school sweetheart) and my two boys, Caleb (11) and Mathieu (9). We also have a 6 year old chocolate lab named Koda, a Bearded Dragon named Reggie and a kitten named Charlie.
The way I use Project Life is to document our everyday life. Before I started using Project Life, I struggled to organize my photos and never printed anything. With it, I can complete albums for full years as well as special events. Sure, we’ll remember the big things like trips, weddings and family reunions. But I know that in years from now I may not remember my son’s favorite catchphrase or that fun walk we took through the trails or that they all prefer eating eggs for breakfast over cereal. These little moments make up the minutes, hours, days and years of our lives. They are so important to me and I don’t want to forget them. I may look silly taking photos of morning breakfasts, but they always smile as they look though my albums and are happy remembering “that one time”… Project Life has allowed me to focus on these things.
To me, documenting life is one of the most important things I can do for my family and the future generations of my family. Sometimes I feel stress and wonder why I bother… then I see my boys sitting together looking at one of my albums, pointing at photos, reading journaling, laughing and remembering. That is why it’s so important to me. Documenting allows us to leave a legacy for our family and I am more than happy to do it.
Three things on my bucket list are:
I don’t have much of a bucket list but I would love to visit Italy. I should probably work on that!
Cultivating a good life means spending time with your family and cherishing the moments you have together.
