I was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City.
My family now consists of my husband, Kevin. Our children Joey (10), Emma (8), and Alyssa (4)
The way I use Project Life is to document our everyday life. I fell in love with Project Life back in 2011. I had been scrapbooking since I was 16 but once we became a Military Family, it was hard to keep up and the movers weren’t too excited about packing scissors, stamp pads, stickers, etc. Enter Project Life. Project Life simplified one of my biggest passions. It made it possible for me to document all of our moves, new homes, friends, deployments, and adventures, while making it easy to transition between homes. I use the App 90% of the time, but am still working on printed pictures so I use the physical products for that. I have albums for every year and my children each have their first year books.
To me, documenting life is so important! I want our posterity to know that we had a happy, blessed life. Sometimes it’s not as happy as I would want and life gets hard, but its still part of our story and it’s humbling to look back at our books and see how far we have come. It makes my heart happy. It’s also part of our Family History. I have a BIG family. I am talking BIG. With us moving so much, its hard for my children to know them all. With documenting our life, I can show them who their family is so they know where they belong.
Three things on my bucket list are:
1. To qualify for the Boston Marathon. I have run 7 marathons and I won’t give up.
2. Go back to school and get a degree in Graphic Design
3. Learn to play an instrument: piano or violin
Cultivating a good life means being better than I was yesterday. Everyday waking up and finding opportunities to serve, to spread joy, to love.
