I was born + raised in the beautiful state of Michigan.
My family now consists of my husband of four years, our son Judah (2), and a second baby boy due to arrive in March 2017! I’m officially a boy mom.
The way I use Project Life has been primarily to document my son’s (sons’!) early years in 12×12 format, plus working on an album about my college years. I am a collector, previously only storing away the photos, the stories, the stuff (every single birthday card and movie ticket, anyone?). Project Life gives my memory keeping purpose and a place.
To me, documenting life is a gift to myself and to my family. In these early years of motherhood, I’m aiming to be intentional about celebrating those little details that seem so everyday, but in five years (heck, five weeks!) will be something of the past. They say it goes by fast, so I want to soak in every little moment along the way.
Three things on my bucket list are:
1. travel internationally with my husband. The top of our list includes Japan, the Canadian Rockies, and Australia.
2. own a studio space for my photography business.
3. write a book (a childhood dream I haven’t let go of yet).
Cultivating a good life means embracing each season, living intentionally, and taking time to rest.
