Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

creative team inspiration: august edition

It’s time for our monthly Creative Team sharing … YES!

As usual with the monthly offering of inspiration, I will share just one glimpse from each of their respective Project Life® albums. And then – whenever and wherever you want to see more – just click on the person’s name and it will take you to their blog where they each share more details, more information, more pages, more examples of how they’re using Project Life as a memory-keeping system. If someone’s style “speaks” to you, you’ll want to check out the additional pictures and explanations on her blog.

We love how each member or our team has her own style – in photography, with their journaling, and how they bring it all together in their albums. As you see how others are using Project Life, our hope is that you will feel an increased desire to document life, and that you’ll be more in tune with what your own personal style is. No matter how you choose to tell your story, it’s all good. This post is loaded with fabulous pages. We don’t mean to overwhelm you. We simply want you to be inspired in your own memory-keeping efforts.

Please remember that while many of the Creative Team members use various products to embellish, keep in mind that you really can create an entire scrapbook with the 3 core Project Life components and nothing else. Album + Project Life Core Kit + Big Pack of Photo Pocket Pages. That’s it. I love and celebrate all sorts of memory-keeping styles, but I personally strive to promote simplicity, especially to those of you who are like me and need to keep it simple or it won’t get done. If you’re looking for inspiration on using Project Life in the most simple format ever (ex – no extra embellishing) – check out the sample albums on our Inspiration page.

You’ll notice that our team members used a variety of Project Life editions in their layouts this month – some that have been around for a while, some that are more recently available on Amazon and in retail stores, two that are exclusive to Michaels, and even one that will be coming soon to Amazon and other retail locations. You can click on any of the product names below each page to be taken directly to those products on Amazon or at DigitalProjectLife.com. Our Products Page has recently been updated to include our newest products so that you have the most easy + accurate way to find our product listings on Amazon. Looking to buy our products locally? Check our Store Finder page to locate a retailer near you.

And now … enjoy this month’s Creative Team inspiration. They’re pretty awesome.

  2. Robin Gibson says:

Soooo cool to see Teresa’s Venice pictures with the Vintage Travel edition! This is why I bought it, to scrap my last trip to Europe which includes Paris, Venice, and London! Super excited now to get it done! Love everyone’s pages here though too! Lots of great inspiration:)

    • Hi there, Robin! So happy you like these pages! I’m working on more Europe pages with this kit too- it’s so perfect for the architecture, colors, atmosphere, etc. You’re going to love how it all comes together. Please show us your pages! :)

  3. Julie B says:

Love these great ideas! This question has probably been addressed but what is the easiest way to print on the journaling cards? I especially like Ashley Bennett’s example. Also, what is the name of the font that she used? TIA

  4. Mary Cardini-Anderson says:

I loved looking at all of these wonderful and very creAtive pages. I love the midnight colors and thinking about buying that kit too. My favorite page to use when wanting to document a day in my life is ” G” love that design. Thank you for offering it.

  5. Benjaman Turner says:

Cut & Paste!?! A new kit that I must own! Thanks for all the previews.

  6. Emily S says:

ahhhh no Heritage Edition sneaks? Sad face!

  7. Ashley says:

Julie B, To print on the journalling cards I adhere them to a sheet of paper and run them through my printer. If I am nervous about lining it up correctly I print it first on a sheet of paper and place the card directly on top and run it through again. Sometimes in my layouts I use digital journalling cards as well. Also, the font I used is called champagne and limousines. Hope this helps!

  8. L.B. says:

Great inspiration. Love the idea of the 180 turn around for digi scrapping

  9. Heidi S. says:

    I love these inspiring pages!

  10. Bri says:

not sure if others have asked for this, but i would love it if you would come out with 6×8 versions of your exclusive michaels pl albums. i think your albums have beautiful designs and would love to see them on a smaller scale for those of us who find the 12×12 size a bit overwhelming.

  11. Bri says:

Also, please make some cards without rounded corners.

  12. Katie says:

Becky, I really love the look of the Just Add Color kit, and was so excited about it; but I’ve just checked HSN and they won’t ship to the UK. Is there anyway that there could be a digital version of this kit, or a way to get it internationally?

Even my local Hobby Craft store that is meant to s have stock Project Life and has it on their website as in stock, had no clue about it when I went into the shop as it hadn’t been delivered to them. It’s such a shame! I’m almost tempted to move to the States for my PL fix! The Just Add Color kit looks fantastic, and I would love a way to get my hands on it. Any ideas?

    Thanks so much in advance,
