Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

creative team – february 2014

It’s time once again for us to show off what our creative team has been up to! We love having a team full of inspiring ladies who are using Project Life® – just like so many of you. They are documenting their everyday, going back to older photos, and even starting in on new projects. Regardless of what type of documenting you are working on, Project Life can help you get your photos and memories (and even recipes) into an album for your family + friends + future generations to enjoy.

Each month we’re only sharing one example from each of our creative team members here, but we know you’d probably love to see more. Each of them is sharing on either a personal blog, instagram, or other social avenues, so just click on the person’s name and it will take you directly to where they are sharing more examples of how they’re using Project Life as a memory-keeping system. You can also visit their personal profile pages (on our Meet the Team page) for links to all of the places you can find their work.

Some of our Creative Team members use various products to embellish their pages, but please keep in mind that you really can create an entire scrapbook with the 3 core Project Life components and nothing else. Album + Project Life Core Kit + Big Pack of Photo Pocket Pages. That’s it. You’ll see that a few of the products listed under the photos don’t have direct links to Amazon (as they usually do). Some of them aren’t currently available on Amazon but will be available right here at beckyhiggins.com when our shopping cart launches … we are getting oh, so close!  Stay tuned to Becky’s social media for the most current updates :)

Enjoy your dose of February inspiration!

I enjoy seeing all the LO from your Creative Team. What I enjoy the most is the fact that they are all so different and unique. I hope when others see these examples they know that almost “anything” goes. It is just so important to capture our everyday life. I’ve just started my third year with PL and love it. I’m 66 years old and have been scrapping seriously for almost 20 years and this is my most favorite form of scrapping. I’m hybrid scrapper using both product already printed and digital.

I love how so many of these layouts are simple, not too complicated! I get overwhelmed when looking at other people’s layouts on pinterest and they seem so complicated. These are simple and clean and I love seeing them!

  3. Kirsty says:

All of these layouts are full of inspirational ideas .. Thanks

  4. Ebony says:

Darn! Now I want those Zoo cards, lol!

  5. Kylee says:

If this is Becky’s blog, shouldn’t becky be writing the entries?

Why aren’t there more qualit controls on her products? Her rounder punch doesn’t work after 2 weeks of use, the cards have misspelled words, the sheet protectors are ripping apart, and the binders aren’t lasting more than 7 months!!!! This company was so much better when it was a smaller company!

    • Mary says:

That is so true!!! Kylee, try the WRMK albums made simple!!!! The quality of the pocket sheets, punches, cards, and binders are now better BH products. I am quite surprised because BH products used to be the best!!!

    • Brandi Nielsen says:

Sorry you are feeling frustrated. Becky writes most of the posts written on her blog. Kari is our marketing director and handles everything with the CT. As a result, it makes the most sense to have her publish these posts.

Any issues you are having with products, please feel free to email me at customerservice@beckyhiggins.com

  6. I enjoyed looking at all of the lay outs by the design team. Lots of inspiration for sure. :) Thank you ladies. I love all of your products Becky, from the punch to the albums and every thing in between. Thanks for designing and producing the quality products that you do.

I can’t wait for your 6×8 Faux Leather Album & Design 4 pages to come out!!

  8. Lydia says:

These are great! Love the simple layouts. So cute!

  9. Debbie hill says:

I am trying to do a heritage page but my kids five grandparents not four like most people can you please help

    • Brandi Nielsen says:

You can add 2 grandparents to a 4×6 template side by side. Or print one out in a 3×4 size and slip in into the smaller pocket.

  10. Jena says:

These are very inspirational. I ve got questions about technique, though. I’m cursed with horrible handwriting. Handwriting so bad I can look back at past entries and not be able to figure out what they say. I notice Bobbi-jo had cards with printed entries. Bobbi-jo can you tell me you process? For instance one is printed on left side of card. Did you set up a 4 x 6 page and then run through your PL card through your printer?
Also, Erin Stewart used all those little pieces in the tiny squares. I like how she sewed up the top. Is that a graphic, or did you actually run your photo sleeve through a sewing machine.

  11. Caroline Addison says:

Thanks for all of the inspiration in the post! I have all of the products stacked up and ready to go, but have yet to brave it and dive in! Hopefully the above will help me go for it. Can you tell me if there is a blog/more info from whoever did the layout at the header of the article please (the one with the 8 months baby bottom?!)? I can’t see a link under that one like there is on the others, but I love the style and would like to see more if possible. Thanks so much! Caroline
