I was so hoping that you were releasing PC software similar to the apple app when I read the title of this blog. I bought the apple app, but I have not really used it because the screen is too small to see any detail. Any plans for a PC version of the app?

    • Tiffany H says:

I thought the same thing–a Project Life version for my desktop. The app for my iPhone is great but it’s just too small for me to use regularly.

    • Farrah says:

OH my gosh! I thought the same thing! I thought it meant a version of the app for the computer. Don’t get me wrong I love the app but I love sitting in from of my iMac more! And Adobe is just too involved for me to learn to do the digital scrapbooking.

HOWEVER, I really love this core kit. I think it’s beautiful – keep up the good work and beautiful products!

    • Ivette says:

A desktop version would be AWESOME! love my on the go app for day events, but for weekly spreads I need to download and get the photos off my phone to create more space, and work from the PC. I sincerely hope they are considering a PC version!

    • Kristen says:

Oh my word! Me too! I thought the same thing. My hear skipped a little beat! Would be so nice with the THOUSANDS of pics on my desktop. But the kit is beautiful too. ;)

    • Berta says:

I thought about that too! I do use the app on my iPad now as my only project life tool and I am ok with it (iPhone is too small ) but I would make good use of an desktop app if there were one.

    • Julie says:

HA! I’m glad I’m not the only one! YES TO DESKTOP SOFTWARE FOR PROJECT LIFE!! Yes! Yes!

    • Evie Antonetti says:

My first thought was, “Excellent! They’ve made a PL app that I can use on my MacBook Pro! “. I guess I wasn’t alone! By the way, I’d also love to be able to journal on top of a picture in the app. Anyway, the actual desktop item is cute. But…I would rather have had a desktop PL app!

    • Pamela McGillin says:

I was thinking the same thing. No Android app, but a desktop version of the PL app would do me just fine :D
      Gorgeous kit BTW!

    • Lynette says:

I was so hoping it was the App for the MacBook! Ug!!!! Making this my Christmas Wish!

    • Amy says:

I’m with you all! I was in the car with my family and got so excited, I startled my husband while he was driving! I thought, yes!!! An app for my Mac (or a PC) is exactly what I’ve been wanting since the phone app arrived. I’m fine with it being just as simple. I like being forced to make do with what’s there and not overthink. I am a Photoshop junkie and Lightroom, but I have finally accepted that I just don’t have time. I do love using the app, but I use a DSLR a lot of the time and moving those pics via Dropbox or my other favorite: Photosync to my phone defeats the purpose of how easy the app is supposed to be.

Please, please, PLEASE may we have an app for the computer??? (And may we also have the ability to add test to photos, too?)

    • Melanie says:

I just used “desktop” as a searchword here on the website, and was so excited when I thought – like theses others – that this post was about a desktop version of the Project Life App! this would be so helpful for we who have a hard time doing everything on a small screen. Just the same great drag-and-drop page creating functionality, only bigger! I have a hard time with the layers and tedious cropping and centering when working in Photoshop, so this would be so so so so wonderful. Please, Project Life developers?

  2. Nolwenn says:

It seems like a really fun new edition ! loving the gold accents.

  3. Rhiannon Ross says:

Love love love…. Can’t wait till we can order in Australia because the suppliers over here don’t stock enough products for us PL groupies lol

  4. Andea says:

    Must have that album!!!!

  5. Leslie says:

I too was hoping this was for a desktop version of the Apple app. All my pictures are on my laptop and I haven’t figured out how to make them accessible on my iPad without sucking up all my memory. Any plans to release a desktop software?

    • Kate bucci says:

Leslie, try something like Dropbox – stores your photos in a ‘cloud’ that you can access from any device.

    • Berta says:

Leslie, every week I sort and edit the pictures that I plan to use for project life (around 10 or so) in my desktop and then I copy them via dropbox to my iPad where I add them to project life. I hope that this helps :)

    • Anna says:

This is actually for Berta… are the pictures you print out from the app on your device altered in quality when you transfer them from your desktop to device and then to print? Just curious. Thanks!

  6. Jolene says:

Sorry, but this comment is not about the new edition. Just wanted to say that as much as I like the new website; it is really hard to read. I think the gray font, while beautiful, is just not very readable.

    • Ainslie H says:

I agree, very hard to read!!

    • Lea says:

i agree! I’m glad it’s not just me! I thought maybe I was getting old…. The font is too light.

    • Sheryl Pyle says:

I love the new look too but I am also having trouble with the gray print. I know my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be but I am struggling to read it easily too.

  7. Tara says:

I posted this earlier, but am still having the problem: Love the new site, but I am having technical issues, how do I configure my browser (safari on an imac) to see the photos at the correct ratios? They are all really skinny and long and just not right, it’s so bad I can’t handle looking at the pictures. =(

    • Michelle says:

I am having the same issue! I emailed customer service a week ago but have yet to hear back on how to resolve the issue.

    • Toni Chase Toni Chase says:

Hi Tara! This is an issue we have not seen. Would you mind sending a screen shot to me at toni@beckyhiggins.com? Thanks! Toni at Becky Higgins LLC

    • Toni Chase Toni Chase says:

Hi Michelle! I have not seen an email from you regarding this issue. I’m sorry! Would you also send me a screen shot to toni@beckyhiggins.com? Thanks! Toni at Becky Higgins LLC

    • Dina says:

I am having the same problems on my imac. I used to read the site regularly, because I love it but just can’t anymore. I also agree font is too light and small. Please fix for your fellow Mac lovers :) can get back to enjoying your site.

  8. Kelli says:

I got so excited when I saw this on facebook-I thought it meant you were releasing a desktop version of the app for Mac. Disappointed that it’s a core kit named Desktop. :( Although, it is a beautiful new edition :). Hoping to see the new app update soon! LOVE the app!!!

  9. Jenny B. says:

Very cute kit! I, too, first thought it was going to be a desktop version of the Project Life app, though. :)

  10. Sarae Martin says:

Are you still going to do core kit sets with dividers and 12×12 paper that matches? I use those sets for my yearly album.

  11. Amy G says:

Beautiful edition although I must admit I was even more excited at my mistaken understanding that this was a desktop app (like something that would work with iPhoto. Maybe in the future?

  12. Brenda says:

    Hi there,
I also seem to be having a problem with the elongated pictures since the website updated.

  13. Nicole says:

I also thought it was a desktop version of the app, that would be great!

  14. Shelley says:

I also got my hopes up, ready to buy it asap, until I realized that I misunderstood. :( I bought the app but it’s too small to comfortably use on a regular basis.

  15. Lynne says:

As so many have already stated, I too, thought this was a desktop version of the app. I don’t use my Apple app because it’s too small for me to see. Beautiful kit though!

  16. Candace says:

The new kit is beautiful! It’s definitely going on my wish list. I LOVE the gold! (I’ll also be eagerly awaiting a desktop version of the app.

  17. Claire says:

Guess I should join the party talking about how great a desktop version would be. I also LOVE the idea of the app working between your iPhone and iPad! That would be PERFECT and like another woman said…it would definitely help so I don’t have to clog up my iPad with vacation pics. I’m looking forward to seeing more core kit editions on the app…would really love the Aqua edition on there!

On a different note, on the right side where it says Pinterest…the URL links back to the blog and not your Pinterest account…oops!

    • Toni Chase Toni Chase says:

Hi Claire! Would you mind trying that Pinterest button again? When I clicked on it both through Google Chrome & through Safari, it does go to our Pinterest page (which will be getting an update soon now that we have the new shop!!) Thanks! Toni at Becky Higgins LLC

    • Debbie says:

Hi, I’m not Claire…but I have the same issue. When I click on the Pinterest button it goes straight back to the blog. I tried it through Firefox and Google Chrome, with the same result.

  18. Sibyl says:

Very cute!! I will be getting this kit asap

  19. Rikki Heinis says:

I love this! The colors are soft yet still vibrant. I’m looking forward to this becoming available. Well done!

  20. Christine Alward says:

Just joining in to welcome the new kit, but same here, I was so excited to be able to get a version of the App for my desktop.
Also, tried to go to Pinterest by clicking on the green box further up, it took me right back here to this blog post.

  21. Jamie says:

I was debating on buying the app and thought this was the answer – a desktop version of the app on my iMac! Though the design is pretty, are there plans for a desktop version of the app? Would be great to run the app on both the iPhone and iMac! Also I’m partial to doing actual work on a desktop.

  22. Kathi says:

I am in agreement with the rest of the commenters. Beautiful edition but I was really really hoping it was a true desktop version of Project Life. I love the app but I would love to be able to do it on my mac instead of my phone. :-)

  23. Kathi says:

If you want to follow her on Pinterest, try clicking the Pinterest logo at the very top of the page to the right. That one will link to her Pinterest account. If you click on the aqua box, it will just take you back here.

  24. Catherine says:

When I first saw this I too thought it was for a desktop version. I love the app on my iPad but would be even more thrilled if I could do project life on my laptop with all my thousands of photos. Hopefully you will consider something like this soon. Im sure you would have a ton of very happy people.

I also like the kit as well, nice colors.

  25. Kim Sanborn says:

I also thought there was going to be a desktop version of the PL app. LOL

  26. Alyssa says:

PLEASE make a desktop version of the app!!! :)

  27. Sharlene Piscitelli says:

    Love these designs–terrific!

  28. Jane says:

Add me to the list of those who thought this was a desk top version of the software. The app is very difficult to use as I cannot access the full resolution version of my images on my iPad. Dropbox takes was too long to import each picture and I only have 2 GB on my DB account. AND who knows what happens to the pictures in my pages if I delete them from DB. Too many unknowns. Please, a desk top app so I can see what I’m doing and actually use my images at their full resolution.

  29. Christy says:

I am confused at the comments. Maybe because I don’t use an app on my phone. Anyways, I thought the above desktop is an actual planner. Anyways, I LOVE it. I can’t wait to see more of it. I thought I had decided on my desk planner, however, this is going to make my decision much harder!! It looks beautiful!!

  30. Kris F says:

Any plans for a desktop app ?

  31. amanda says:

DESKTOP version needed!!!! I also got excited when i saw the heading.. It would be awesome to make a version for the good old computer.. as easy as the app but maybe with some embellishments and the ability to write OVER photos etc.. please get this in the works.. I’m SURE most people would want it!!

  32. Tawnya says:

Yes I too was fooled by the title. And yes, I too agree that a desktop would be Fabulous.

  33. Amy says:

I also thought this was going to announce a desktop version of the app and I was so excited. I would love that! I am still waiting for the Android version to come out so I can use the app. Question, if you have bought digital files here on this site, can you use them on the app?

  34. Sherrie says:

Me too I thought the same thing Desk top edition of the project life app!! Bumped out over this not being the case!!

  35. Wendie says:

Ditto on the first impression of this post. Having a hard time reading the iPad app – use it on your iPad.

  36. Briana says:

I, too, thought you were releasing a mac desktop version for the app store. I love the app for the phone, but would LOVE LOVE LOVE one for my desktop.

Please consider, especially after all these comments above, making a desktop version. I think a lot of people would pay for a program that would do this like the phone app.

    Thank you!! :)

  37. Monja says:

This is such a beautiful collection! I already have tons of things in my mind I can do with it :D

  38. Dee says:

    Hi Becky

Has the Project Life Desktop version for istore come out as yet? I am based in South Africa. I have looked through the istore desktop version and couldnt find anything or perhaps does the desktop version have another name. Please advise.

    Thank you

  39. Becky Wall says:

Would love to know when this will be launched! I have issues with my phone that would be resolved if I could just use the photos from my PC instead :)
    Hope it comes soon !!!

  40. Megan says:

Also jumping on the wagon to request a desktop version of the app that could be used on macbook!!! :) Love your products!!
