Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

a new twist on Project Life® coming to HSN

Ummmm. Guess what? This is only a teeny bit exciting.

A twist.

To Project Life®.

Because you have thousands upon thousands of pictures – and this is one more album you can complete in a SNAP. What’s not to love about that!?

It’s still the super simple Project Life system we love, but the twist is that we’re focusing on SQUARE pockets and SQUARE cards. Super adorable, fun, happy, 2×2 and 4×4 SQUARE cards! Think Instagram pictures. Even if Instagram isn’t your thing, you’re going to love, love, love the designs and the format and the fact that you can work with any pictures you have and easily trim them down where applicable. There are still 4×6 cards, but everything else is 2×2 and 4×4. A-dor-a-ble. And the designs? Completely delicious. The design work for this edition was led by one of our all-time favorites designers – Kerri Bradford! (She designed the Turquoise Edition and Cinnamon Edition)

But that’s not all, friends. This is the first-ever Project Life® kit that comes with customizable stickers. And the Photo Pocket Pages? Yes – the same quality that you love, but this kit designed exclusively for HSN will include page designs that are brand-new, never-before-seen, and just plain awesome.

We’re pretty much giddy about this and can’t wait to share MORE! Right now I need you to go to your calendar and write a note to yourself that SEPTEMBER 17th is the day to watch Lisa Bearnson selling this product live, on-air, on HSN (which can also be viewed online at HSN.com). Keep scrolling to see some sneak peeks and as we get closer, we’ll share more – including sample pages so you can see how it all comes together.

  1. I’m so, so, so excited about this kit. Getting it FOR SURE. It is so, so, so darling.

  2. Susan says:

It’s not for me as I don’t do instagram. Dissapointed. I don’t cut photo’s up so this is not as option for me.

    • PositivePeople says:

Susan- I didn’t used to like cutting up photos, but I actually have done it a few times and LOVED the overall impact of it. {Inspired by Elise Blaha Cripe & Ali Edwards}. It’s okay that you don’t use instagram or cut up photos… that’s the absolute beauty of Project Life- it’s your project- YOUR WAY. So I’m curious, with all that she currently offers what are you disappointed about? Do you see a need for a different kind of product Becky currently doesn’t offer?

    • Mary R says:

you could resize what photos you do take to 2×2 or 4×4, and print them that way. I used to do that all the time before I got my iPhone and went with instagram.

I think it is a fun option for someone just starting out with Project Life/Scrapbooking.

    • You could still use them for traditional sized photos. Or I’m thinking they’d also be cute to put on the journaling cards as an accent. What I love about PL is that you can pick and choose what works for you!

    • Honey Bristow says:

Ohh I love cropping photos! These are perfect for the imperfect photos that I trim :)

  3. M says:

Is there any chance this is coming to Europe, please?

  4. Nancy Barnes says:

Oh, this is awesome! And so cute! I LOVE Kerri Bradford! This will be perfect for older photos as well – you those square photos from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s. And even some of the heritage photos might work as well! So excited!!

  5. Jen M. says:

    Genius! SO excited about this!!!

  6. Karen says:

    Sooooo excited!! Can’t wait!!!

  7. Joyce says:

I love this idea! Any chance we will see coordinating stickers for other kits?

  8. Mendi M says:

  9. Jenna says:

Hi! Is this every going to show up as a digital product? I love the idea!

  10. Leisa says:

    WOW!!! This looks AWESOME!!!!

  11. Amie Lamm-Griffin says:

Please tell me this will be digital! I am already using instagram in my digi PL and would LOVE the square cards! Not to mention all those ellies!

  12. I LOVE those little 2×2 cards!!! Oh man, so excited!!

  13. Jennie M says:

Dude, I can’t believe how you continue to come up with things I LOVE and HAVE to have! LOL! This looks awesome and I am marking my calendar right now! Thanks Becky! :D

  14. Danielle says:

This is Epic for Project Life. I cannot wait~

  15. Stephanie says:

    Love, love, LOVE this!! Amazing!!

  16. Love this idea but a bit disappointed that other countries (I am Canadian) won’t have access to it. Will it eventually be available elsewhere?

  17. Jennifer says:

Is this affiliated with. SNAP by Simple Stories? The colors look similar and I’m wondering if your comment in the first sentence maybe is a hint??

  18. Roos1111 says:

I would love to see this in a digital version as well so that I have this kit also. I am living in the Netherlands, so this kit in digital format would be awesome!!!

  19. Natasha Peters says:

Love! I am in Canada, and HSN only ships to the US. So, will this be available to those outside US any time soon?

  20. Judy says:

Just wondering… What SIZE is this album going to be? Is it still 12×12? Because I would LOVE if you’d make your little mini album (or similar size) in a 3-ring binder! That being said, this is still a super cool concept and I adore the design!

    • Leah G says:

I agree with you, Judy. I would really like to see this as a smaller album than the 12×12 size that is currently available. Maybe 8×8?

Can’t wait to see this one.

    • Emily says:

I would also love 3 ring mini binders! Either way, what a fun kit! Excited for the 17th!

  21. Heather says:

You are killing me – so many options, so little time!!!!

  22. Olivia says:

I am sooo very excited for this! After our camera died we couldn’t purchase a new one, and with the continual improvements to camera phones we decided to wait. For the last two years my photos have primarily been square. This kit is like an answer to prayers! No more awkwardly placed or trimmed photos and journaling cards. Thank you!

  23. Stefanie says:

Like many others from Europe: will this be available in other countries?

  24. CJ says:

Oh Becky, it’s lovely. Well done you.

  25. Barb Mc says:

    Can’t wait! Marking my calendar!

  26. Nicole Q. says:

Another Canadian who would like to know when this will be available for us!!!
VERY frustrating to watch it and not have access!!!
    Thank you! :)

  27. Tracy says:

Guys, I’m so excited to see what the PAGE PROTECTORS will look like!

  28. Donna says:

OMG ♥ I am an Instagram fanatic .. and this is a must have PL set!! With all the amazing PL goodies coming out my wallet will be hiding from me !

  29. Minnie says:

Sooo cute, I just love them… But wondering how project lifers in Australia can get them??? Is there a way??? I especially love the stickers….. Great job Becky

  30. Kris says:

See that the Sunshine dividers appeared yesterday – any idea when the sunshine core kit will arrive?

  31. Theresa G. says:

So excited! Didn’t think I needed any more PL kits….but maybe just one more…..

  32. pamela says:

Those squares are just so cute!! And loving all those simple designs. I can’t wait to see this in store!!

  33. Super excited about this. I love instagrams and divided prints. Plus you are totally right about the new designs and stickers, delicious!

  34. Connie M says:

So cute! Love the small sizes. In fact, those tiny 2×2 squares would work well in my 8.5×11 albums. I wish Becky would design divided pages for my binders. I already use the 8.5×11 with three pockets for 4×6 photos, but would love to have more options.

  35. Pamela McGillin says:

I will def be mixing this in with the regular PL page pockets, sometimes I have soooo many photos!

  36. Carmelle L. says:

Hi Becky, there is one thing I would like you do for the french ladies. Do a kit without english words on them.
I like this kit very very much, it is magnifique….lol Could you explain to me what is the Instagram, is it a camera of something you add to get those square photos?

Also when can we order this kit in Canada. Thanks to work so hard for all of us.

    Carmelle xxx

    • Maureen says:

Although I am not French, I would love to see full versions of the kits with a no words… just designs on the cards. Many times I will love the designs but the words completely do not go with what I am wanting to put on the cards. So I end up altering the cards with embellishments to cover up the words. I suppose I could buy all digital kits and alter them myself but the thought of printing a years worth of cards + the pictures is a little daunting. Just a thought… 2 versions of each kit – one with words one without.

    • Leah G says:

Instagram is a social network/application. It’s available for smart phones. Similar to Facebook, members have a time line and can friend/follow other members. The catch is that each timeline is made up of photos. http://www.instagram.com should have more information for you. It’s membership is world wide and it’s so much fun for people who enjoy photography.

    • Elsa-Maija says:

I agree. I would love to see a kit without any words. And I would love to see a kit sold to us “outsiders” (not living in US) too.

Right now I’m using Studio Calico’s PL monthly kit because they sent to Europe.

  37. Katie says:

Excited! It looks like there might be 2 choices of kits? I love the Honey kit and it looks like one would really coordinate well with it. I love that there are stickers too.

  38. Lisa W. says:

OH my…another thing to be obcessed about:) YIPEE!!!!!

  39. Kala says:

    love it!

  40. Kate aa stinkydudette says:

And the International folks miss out again. Sad.

  41. Laurie says:

Will these be available in Canada/Micheals?

  42. Rachel says:

Hi will this come out in digital format. would love it to. it is so cute

  43. Tash Daly says:

Super cute idea, love this kit. I am sure there are many of us in Australia that will be disappointed not being able to get it!!! Why is it everything rolls out in the U.S. first and we have to wait soooooo long for it here? :-(

  44. cindy b says:

I see that this has been asked before but I am curious also about the size of the album?!! Sure hope it’s smaller because having a big 12×12 for smaller pictures doesn’t really make sense. :)

  45. I love the look of this kit. The colors are awesome. I love the graphics used and the words. I love words. :) I will be buying this kit and I will give it a whirl. Even though I prefer the size of your kits that I now have. I do not Instagram, I used to but I just could not get into it. But I’m thinking that I can resize my photos to a 2×2 and print then out myself. I do have a couple of questions. Do you know of a company who will print out 2×2 photos? It may be less expensive to have someone do my printing. And, would you consider also doing this type of kit for those of us who prefer using 4×6 photos. I really like that you included the stickers. Thank you. :) Have a wonderful weekend.

    • AbbyP says:

Mary — I use Persnickety Prints and have been THRILLED with the result. Up until now, I have been printing all of my own photos, but my printer broke. I see absolutely no difference in photos I’ve printed and those purchased (reasonably, I might add) from Persnickety Prints.

    • Abby, I do lots of my own printing too but I also use Shutterfly. Thank you for your suggestion. I will be looking into Persnikety ASAP! Thanks again. :)

  46. Karen Rice says:

How fantastic–what neat possibilities to coordinate with the normal sized PL pockets, too!

  47. Tammy O says:

I am usually not able to get the HSN deals. I am hopeful something similar will be soon available in stores & Amazon:)

  48. Jenny Campbell says:

Can’t wait, I so will use this especially now I have the hAppy!

  49. […] Higgins is making a square format Project Life kit! All I can think of is Instagram loveliness and ‘how the heck am I gonna get my hands on […]

  50. Katie Elizabeth Harding says:

Wow looks great .. but please can you make available in the U.K also! Have ordered my first kit through Hobbycraft (sad to say not available in store yet!)

Does anyone in usa want a project life buddy?

  51. Nancy says:

This is super cute! Way to go with yet another amazing idea!!

  52. Sara says:

I’m actually really excited about the stickers. I take a lot of photos and have difficulty leaving a whole pocket open for journaling. Most of my journaling is short & sweet. These might be the perfect solution. I think the square cards might also be nice to add to title cards for a layered look. I get a little bored with just a flat card with dates sometimes–a little extra spice might be nice!

  53. Mike says:

Love these. These are so so so cute!

  54. So exciting! This looks amazing.

  55. Angela says:

I’m love the 2×2 size for collage style layouts, and I hope this means there will be 12×12 page protectors with a grid of 2×2 pockets. With all of the new products heading to stores, does anyone know if Design U or V will be available in stand alone packs? I want to do an entire album with this size of photo and am hopeful I won’t need to buy just the variety pack.

  56. Faith says:

Wow, love this, am new to Instagram, but will definetely use it more often now!!!! Marked my “Calender!” Will definetely get this one also!!! Mahalo (Thank you!)_

  57. Sharon says:

Print your Becky Higgins journaling cards using Apple Pages for iOS(iPAD/iPhone). Journaling has just got easier. Templates available in 3×4 and 4×6 vertical and horizontal. Journal in the car…journal at the doctor’s office…journal anywhere. Save it and print using AirPrint. It’s brilliant!!!!

    Check it out – http://www.smpljournal.com
    Super, fun, and simple.
    Happy Journaling!

  58. Michelle says:

    I love this! Can’t wait!!

  59. Hannah says:

I saw your products in real life for the first time today! I fell in love with the concept but it was so difficult and expensive to purchase in the UK and I couldn’t look at them in real life so I went with the Digi kits. I was in Hobby craft and was completely surprised to see the Kraft and blush edition and lots of binders, pocket pages and mini kits! They are so lovely in real life.

  60. Just Wondering says:

Is this link true? Does it really only cost between $0.80 and $1.20 to produce a PL core kit??

  61. Amanda Parham-Hall says:

I’m so excited about this, I do use Instagram & I can (& do) print out a lot of 2×2 & 4×4 photo’s:) I also love the coordinating stickers, I just saw where your old kits used 2 come w/ grid cards & stickers, you should totally start doing that again~lol! Either way, I love your products!!! I still need 2 order some pocket pages & I still need some older core kits:) Keep up the good work! I love HSN as well!

  62. Rosemary Filyaw says:

I can hardly wait for the 17th. I don’t instagram but I can figure out how to use these parts in another way. Could one not use them in a 4×6 slot and decorate that size card?
Time is slowly ticking away. I’ll be there early.

  63. becky says:

OMGosh!!!! that is too cute! I am working that day, but as they say where there is a will there is a way!!!! I love the sizes and the colors!!!! Too CUTE!!

  64. […] announced that Project Life® was coming back to HSN … this time with a twist! You can check that blog post out if you missed […]

  65. Linda S says:

    Okay, I gotta have this…

  66. eric says:

When are you going to answer everyone’s questions about these becoming (if that) avail in digital format. While you’re at it, can you tell me wether or not the “Just Add Color” page templates will also become available for digital purchase?

  67. wyntormoon says:

Any chance this can come to a 8×8 or 6×9 albums. I DO NOT do 12×12’s.

  68. […] 4×4 journaling cards, 400 2×2 filler cards, 80 basic cards and 20 sticker sheets. Becky Higgins shared some more sneak peeks at the product here on her blog if you want to take a look. Check out more sneak peeks from My Sisters Suitcase, Sweet Rose […]
