Pocket Scrapbooking with Project Life

Cultivate a good life and record it.

a gift from our customers, a gift for our home.

In our home you can find a lot of scrapbooks. A lot. Each is such a treasure and holds a lot of memories – of course. Our scrapbooks range in sizes and styles. Some are chronological. Some are thematic. I’ll share more about the scrapbooks in our home on another day, in another post.

There is one album in particular that is not only the newest addition to the collection of scrapbooks in our home – but it’s special for a different reason and I wanted to share that with you guys today. This 6×8 album is a compiled effort – a gift – that was given to me just a couple of weeks ago when David and I were rounding out our time in Australia.

There is a facebook group called “Project Life Australia.” You can imagine what this is: Australians who love Project Life®, use Project Life to organize and preserve their photos & memories … devoted customers. And now that I’ve met many of them in person, I can honestly say these are some of the most passionate and thoughtful women I’ve met.

When Renae represented the group and presented this gift to me in front of everyone at the Project Life Party in Sydney, I was beside myself and my eyes welled up and I hardly knew what to say. I have made several gift albums for other people over many, many years – and this was the first time I had received a gift like this that was a collaborative effort of so many people coming together to say thank you.

I am completely moved. And thankful. Not only for this amazing physical gift that I can hold in my hands and that my children and future posterity can hold in their hands … but also because I know these women represent our customer base. We have been incredibly blessed with such loyal customers. We recognize this every day. We know that you guys are such a significant part of why we started this company, why we’ve stuck through the most challenging times to keep our business going, and why Project Life continues to grow.

So thank you, dear customers. Each of you. And a very special thank you to the Project Life Australia facebook group for this invaluable gift that went straight to my heart. I will treasure it forever.

The products used in this album can be found in our online shop. That’s the 6×8 Faux Leather Album, and the 6×8 Photo Pocket Pages in various designs can be found at the bottom of this page. Many of the gals used Project Life cards from various editions and themed packs, and some also embellished with additional products and accessories as well.

I’m so thankful to have met you, Becky, and to have been able to take part in the album for you, I am so thrilled you love it! On the day you took a photo of a layout I took along to show you – of my son holding one of the first ever Project Life boxes, way back in its first year, which was such a thrill for me! Would love to see that photo one day :)

Becky, it is lovely to see our photo amongst your shares of the little album we gave you. What a treat to meet you at the party day, your talk was inspiring, and your sharing nature is so sweet. I would have liked to talk with you for longer but was very aware of the time constraints and ensuring that you got to speak to everyone. Thanks for coming to Australia, and thanks to your little family for sharing you with us. xx

What a perfect gift. It’s absolutely beautiful — and a great use of the 6×8 album. I recently finished a 6×8 album commemorating my son’s high-school trip to Uruguay last year and loved the format.
