40th birthday gift idea

Becky Higgins 40th Birthday Gift

Many of you may recognize our friend Juli Jones, a former member of our Project Life® Creative Team, and forever a part of our big family. Juli recently had a birthday (last week to be exact) and we wanted to share a fun gift that she and her friends made for each of their 40th birthdays! I will let Juli explain in her own words exactly what they did!

“My 4 friends have all been friends since early elementary school. I joined the group in 7th grade and we have all been friends ever since. We make it a point to get together quarterly (at least) for dinner and throw in a girls’ trip every now and then. I made some Project Life pages for the 1st one of us to turn 40. Everyone contributed stories and pictures, but I did the work. This set the tone for the rest of our birthdays (everyone wanted their own pages!). It was everyone else’s first experience doing Project Life. I cannot tell you how much everyone loved looking at the pages with all our funny old pictures and the stories we told. We laughed and laughed!”

We absolutely love what Juli and her friends have done and we know it will be something they will all cherish forever. We know how important those girlfriend relationships are and appreciate Juli showing us just how important it is to her!

  1. Lori N. says:

I did this for my sister’s 40th! Since she has lived all over the country, and is fairly new to the area that she lives in currently, I wanted something that all of her friends could do. I set up a secret Facebook page, and invited her friends to it (and let them invite friends that I don’t know). Some people emailed photos and notes, that I printed onto 4×6 and 3×4 cards to slide into pockets. Some people sent postcards from where they live with a note on the back. Others sent actual photos and handwritten notes in the mail. And some friends sent Project Life app or digital files to me that I printed and slipped into big page protectors. I specifically asked for photos and STORIES from her whole life, and ended up getting so many wonderful mementos. She LOVED it!

  2. First of all I wish to Juli HAPPY BIRTHDAY . This is very interesting birthday story, I like your funny moment together. Thank you for sharing this experience.
